April is National Car Care Month

The Car Care Council recognizes two months each year to bring attention to the importance of car care and preventive maintenance:  National Car Care Month in April and Fall Car Care Month in October.

The Car Care Council recommends the following maintenance procedures to help maintain your peace of mind on the road: 

• Check all oil, filters and fluids.
• Inspect hoses.
• Check the engine brake system.
• Check condition of your battery (batteries should be replaced every 3 years).
• Inspect the exhaust system.
• Check the car’s heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
• Inspect the steering and suspension system.
• Check the pressure of all tires, including the spare.
• Test exterior and interior lights wiper blades.
